    Avalanche @ Leafs - Jan. 25th, 1:30pm - TSN4

1-4-2 in their last seven, to essentially kill any playoff hopes. Can’t rebuild without their own 1st round picks for two of the next three years. Gotta hope they can’t turn things around under a new coach next year.

I’d say working through that is what separates the good players from the great ones. Marner is a good player, no question. He has yet to truly show greatness.

2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

He did and he didn't. He was very productive early in series before things really tighten up. Once they did, he - and most of the rest of the roster, to be fair - very much did suck. Also, on the PP (like everyone, except, in this case, he was largely the QB, so, his inability to adapt had a...

There's going to be competition for him, so, cheap is a relative term here. Leafs don't have the assets to get into any kind of bidding war.

    Jets vs. Leafs - Jan. 17th, 7:00pm - SN

I suspect the injury history between Will and Stolarz pushes that decision to the offseason. Goalies have more value in the summer, typically. Playoff teams are generally not looking to pay for a starter at the deadline.

    2026 Blue Jays

For an insane $60M per year. That’s an absurd contract.

2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

He's been nothing short of awful this season. Could jsut be a bad year, but, could also be all those injuries have caught up to him and he's lost too much footspeed. I wouldn't give up much for him and NJ would need to seriously retain.

    Mammoth vs. Leafs - Jan. 13th, 10:00pm - TSN4

He's still on the IR, for one. He's skating and practicing with the team, but he's not quite ready for game action yet. This is not a particularly unusual situation for a player who is close to returning but not ready yet.

Especially since a denial coming from the front office is essentially meaningless. Regardless of how true it is or isn't, if management says anything, it's going to be a denial. This hadn't reached the mainstream yet (likely because it's mostly or entirely garbage), so there was no need to get a...

    What's wrong with Auston Matthews?

The whole team looks better post-Savard, so, who knows? Maybe it was just enough of a shot across the bow to get everyone going.

2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

Average goaltending for those first few weeks of the season plus a competent PP in the first half, and this team is a clear playoff squad. Doesn't mean they were playing well by any means, but they're better than their record. If the Woll/Hildeby tandem can hold the fort well enough the rest of...

    Devils @ Leafs - Dec. 30th, 7:00pm - SN

Would be the first lower body concussion I've heard of.
