I’m told it’s $8.8 M x seven years for Pietrangelo in Vegas https://t.co/hVyz9OAzzw— Pierre LeBrun (@PierreVLeBrun) October 12, 2020

Pietrangelo 7x$8.8M in LV
An $8.8M x 7 year contract is fair value for Pietrangelo, who should remain an elite defender for the next three seasons pic.twitter.com/rvZuCXAXps— dom luszczyszyn (@domluszczyszyn) October 12, 2020

The off-season upper limit is $89.65M(10% above the upper limit)We currently estimate Vegas' off-season cap at $82,930,536. That would leave them $6,719,464 in off-season cap space.Meaning Pietrangelo would either need to sign for $6.7M AAV, or Vegas has to trade someone.— CapFriendly (@CapFriendly) October 11, 2020

Anyone who thought we were in on this just wasn't thinking clearly.

Well Dubas said they made their offer but Vegas wasn't going to be denied I guess. There had to be another team that made an offer because clearly St Louis was out, so why did Vegas have to go to 8.8?

Getting someone to actually sign the deal seems like a pretty good reason to increase your offer.
