Well, if there's a team in the league that needs offence...

Dreger said "picks and prospects". Ken Campbell says "players and picks, but no prospects involved". Thrilling!

LeBrun says a 1st, a conditional, and prospects.

Even with 50% retained, AZ is 200k-ish short without a roster move.
Brayden Burke getting sent down ought to do it.

So, given that the team with Taylor Hall wins the draft lottery and NJ apparently holds Arizona's pick, I guess NJ is getting another #1 pick.

Nick Merkley is a 22 year old forward. He was drafted 30th overall in 2015. In his first AHL season he scored 39 points in 38 games. In his second he scored 34 points in 45 games. And in his third/current AHL season he has just 16 points in 26 games (including his 3 goals). So kinda going backwards in his development.

Nate Schnarr is a 20 year old forward who was drafted in the 3rd round in 2017. He didn't put up points in the OHL until his D+2 season and currently has 1 goal and 9 points in 22 AHL games.

Kevin Bahl is a 6'7" defenceman so I'm just going to assume he was drafted for size and will never play in the NHL.

So... meh?

Potentially getting two 1sts is nice. I wonder Hall re-signing at any point trigger this, or only if it happens before July 1st.

Colorado didn't have a 1st and three random prospects they could have offered here? Come on.

Thank you, sir.

Arizona might be for real this year.
