One win and all of a sudden we're living in a tropical rose garden.

Let me just point this inconvenient truth: Based on a definitive One Game Sample Size, AlNyl>WilNyl.  Who scored?  Who got "unlucky" boofreakinhoo?

Babs was right: We found out who was the Better Brother, and in a hurry.

Let's see this one more time. Coming off his own strong entry and Matthews' cycle, Nylander picks up the puck (in mid-air) behind the net and glides to the top of the zone to survey his options. Not sure why the Sabre are so passive here but it reminds me of when everyone used to watch Alex Kovalev take laps around the OZ. Rielly jumps in for a potential reverse (slightly risky here if Nylander bobbles, but Hainsey shades back immediately to support his pinch) which drags a forward into Nylander's check, and that split second of gap precipitates Willy turning on the jets into open ice and launching a shot that Hutton did not even register until it clanked off the crossbar.

That's all well and good but I disposed of all this extraneous noise in Reply #120.

I just rewatched this about 10 times in a row. This is why Nylander has supplanted Kadri as my favorite Leaf.

I could watch him skate in circles around the other team all day.

Nice to see the real Auston back and being a force, was disappointed in him after his last injury but he has shaken it off now, best player on the ice by a league.

Driving into the high traffic areas and getting roughed up has led to a couple of his injuries (shoulder). I think he was playing a perimeter game for a while to see if he could stay healthy for an extended period. I'm sure we'll start to see him put it all on the line with the body more as the playoffs approach.
