The Raptors defeated the Utah Jazz 124-111, their third game in four nights on this Western road swing.  In place of the injured Leonard,  OG Anunoby shone contributing 17 points and several steals. Serge Ibaka with another strong game, Danny Green, and Lowry who continues to set franchise records.
He's the NBA's current assists leader.

A much better, more balanced effort from the bench unit, especially Pascal Siakam who also provided some excellent defensive output.

Coupled with Friday's win over the Suns, and Sunday's victory over LeBron James & the L.A. Lakers, Toronto is now 10-1.

Serge Ibaka's 34 pt night (Raptors over the Lakers 121-107)

Milwaukee beat Golden State last night and Stef Curry was hurt late in the game. He walked off and needs an MRI today.

Raptors vs. Golden State coming up Nov 29th   ;D

I'll bet a testicle we win that game handily, with or without Curry. There is no bigger or more longstanding supporter of Curry than myself, but these Raptors aren't even in 5th gear yet. That's downright impressive.

Best start in franchise history as the Raptors defeat the Dallas Mavericks tonight here at home by a score of 116-107 -- going a perfect 6-0 on the year.

Kawhi Leonard led with 21 points and 9 rebounds, while  Lowry had 20 pts., and his fourth consecutive double-double game. Valenciunas contributed 17 points & 8 rebounds, while Danny Green and Serge Ibaka had 15 and 11 points, each with 8 rebounds.
Pascal Siakam & Miles were the other Raptors with double digit pts. (10 & 11).

GO RAPTORS!

I know i'm going to regret saying this, but that, as well as the Knicks game, were both off-nights. This team can win at a medium pace. I've never been happier to have a Tracy McGrady jersey in storage somewhere on the outskirts of Toronto.

This start is no fluke. Ujiri hit ahome run and if we can't win this year, we never will.

Funny thing. Don't hear all the Demar whiners now. Leonard is the real deal.

I don't know who or what is a Demar whiner but I don't think anyone with any real sense of the game doubted that Leonard was, you know, good. He was a finals MVP and 1st team All-Star.

The questions with him were always more about his durability and whether or not this would be more than a one year thing.

A Demar whiner is kind of like a fundamentalist Torontonian: everything used to be great and nothing will ever make it good again.

Raptors now 12 & 3 on the year.  Suffered their second straight home loss Wednesday night to Dwayne Casey's Detroit Pistons 106-104 ( at the last second).

Ex-coach Casey received a warm eelcome back in the city he once called home and had this to say of proudly having been part of the Raptors organizaton for so long (until his firing).

Quote
"I tried to help a lot of coaches across the country and in the city, brought them in, made them part of our program, the Canadian coaches."

“I said that when I first got here, to build basketball here in the country, it starts with the little coaches. I spent a lot of time with the bitty (ball) coaches … trying to develop it. It’s big, basketball in Canada is at an all-time high. Some of the top players in this country and this city are being highly recruited and hopefully (I) had something to do with that and leave that little mark behind."

Whoo-hoo-hoo!  It feels so good to be numero uno.

The Raptors with the win tonight, 124-104 over the Atlanta Hawks in Atlanta, own the best w/l record in the league at 15-4.

Minus Kawhi Leonard, Kyle Lowry continues to turn heads with a double-double performance.
Valenciunas, Siakam, and Ibaka were the other top point getters.

On a side note, congratulations go to former Raptor Vince Carter, on notching his 25,000th point of his NBA career.  That puts him at #26 on the all-time list.

Raptors blasted the Washington Wizards here at home last night 125-107 and are now 16-4 -- their best start in the club's history.

Kawhi Leonard with his 27 points and a double-double led the way alongside Kyle Lowry and the Raptors second unit, which included Anunoby, Wright, VanVleet, and Ibaka, all contributing points in the double digits.

Even though Golden State was missing Curry, Green and with Durant being a handful (51 points),  the Raptors persisted and prevailed both defensively and offensively.

Yes, great satisfying win.

U.S. sports media gushing over the Raptors & Leonard in  their victory over the Warriors, and the fact that Toronto's w/l record  is league best.

Quote
More than anything, Warriors-Raptors was a reminder that the NBA has never been better than it is right now. There has never been this much talent all over the league, the style is wide-open, highlights are readily available all over the world, and every few days there’s a new performance that will baffle anyone who’s paying attention... Best team  vs worst team and the best team wins again. Make that eight in-a-row for the 20-4  Raptors, as they sailed past the LeBron-less Cleveland Cavs 106-95.

No Kyle Lowry (back injury) but plenty of Kawhi, Green, VanVleet and Siakam, all contributing in double digits for the win.

I have to think that Lowry is pretty sick and tired of being asked about the DeRozan trade.

I know I'm tired of hearing about it.
