I don't know about you guys but I'm thoroughly enjoying the collective messes that are the Habs and Sens right now.

And Edmonton! Never forget Edmonton!
Edmonton is funny cause of all the first round picks but I feel bad for them as I have friends from there (I lived in Edmonton for about 18 months back in the late 90s)

Jack Eichel is now out indefinitely with a high ankle sprain.
The Leafs have 4 more games against the Sabres, all after the trade deadline.

I was just looking at the Oilers draft positions the last 8 drafts:

2010 - 1st
2011 - 1st
2012 - 1st
2013 - 7th
2014 - 3rd
2015 - 1st
2016 - 4th
2017 - 22nd

If they win the lottery again this year, it'll be their 5th #1 overall in 9 drafts! How are they so bad still?

Four #1 picks
Seven total picks in the top 10.

Edmonton model my ass.

If they do win the draft lottery, that means they'll stay bad.  We can cheer them on.  :D

No problem, they could probably trade Taylor Hall for one with the season he's having!

*giggles*

Especially since so many of them are false alarms/not really newsworthy events.

Awesome.  All the teams at the bottom of the league extending their GMs.  Habs, step right up!

I'm so happy they re-signed Benning. When people ask "oh you think you're smarter than a NHL GM?" it gives me that much more evidence to say "absolutely".

More likely, the Senators could have Chabot and Ceci as their top pairing, and that wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.

By this time next season, in fact, they could be well on their way to becoming a flipped side version of Karlsson and Marc Methot, at 22 and 25 years old.

The similarities are there. The offensively gifted Chabot is on track to becoming as good as Karlsson. Ceci is only like Methot in that both are from Ottawa, both are good skaters, both have size and — now that Ceci has been groomed to think defence first — both are perfectly suited to be teammed with a Karlsson/Chabot like player.

Chabot is on track to becoming as good as the best offensive defencemen of this generation. Haha

The whole article is amazing. Guaranteed that Ceci signs an 8-year extension this summer that is going to be hilariously bad.
