Not sure what the protocol is these days but it's been so long since I've posted I thought it might be best to reintroduce myself!

Hey, here's a question that got kicked around at my Easter dinner you might be able to answer. What does Irn Bru actually taste like? Is it orange flavoured or just orange coloured? The wikipedia page is no help.

Great for hangovers!

I can order some on Amazon and I just might to quell this long running curiousity.
Well, it is made in Scotland from Girders, so there is a faint metallic taste to it. It could also just be the blood you're tasting as it takes the top layer of your esophagus with it as it goes down. It's always been too sweet for me, I didn't mind a diet Irn-Bru on occasion though, sacrilege for some.
