Wellwood and Antropov both appear to be fitting in well with the Jets (I know it's not really a new team for seems Nik but it like it because of the relocation).  Very glad for them both.

Antropov is from kazistan.  He doesn't know what to do in warm weather.  He is feeling more at home now that he is back in the tundra.

Wellwood has resigned with the Jets.  Good to see a team that appreciates him.

$1.6M. That's gonna buy him a lot of hamburgers.

Why aren't their hamburger jokes about Stajan?  His career is in worse shape then Wellwood's (no pun intended).

Just saw that Wellwood is benched for tonight's game.  Coach Noel said Wellwood looked tired.  Insert burger joke here!

Spare tired!

Jokes aside, it's too bad. I remember listening to the St. John's broadcasts when Wellwood played there and he used to carry the team on his back. The man with the magic mittens. It really sounds like he's his own worst enemy.

Even with the Leafs, that cross-crease pass to Tucker was magic.

Aside - love how Ponikarovsky, Antrapov, and Wellwood are playing together again in Winnipeg.

Although some might think the Leafs have been hard on Kadri, I think if they didn't, Wellwood is what he would of turned out to be.  I think Kadri will be more prepared and professional from here on out, a lesson Wellwood never learnt.

I'm not sure you can really know that for certain, not that it matters a whole lot.

With 18, 19 and 18 goal seasons respectively in his past 3 seasons, I wouldn't say Wellwood has turned out all that bad.

I remember a game where he played under Pat Quinn.

Kyle was cruising by the opposition's net and a puck came his way and he tried to shoot it through his legs into the goal.

Quinn was furious about the hotdog move and when a reporter asked him about it, he said something like "If he keeps pulling moves like that, he'll be watching from the press box!"

The night he had 5 goals in St. John's was pretty magical as well.
