Only watched the 2nd half, but great game. That block near the end by LeBron has huge.

Cleveland  93   Golden State  89.    Cavaliers win series 4 games to 3.

Congratulations Cleveland Cavaliers!   NBA ohampions!!

And to LeBron James on being named MVP!

Both the Cavs and the Warriors made history - - Cleveland, on being the first-ever NBA squad to come- from-behind a 3 games to 1 series deficit to win the championship,  and Golden State, on  becoming the first -ever NBA squad to squander a 3 games to l series lead enroute to losing the championship.

Call it a tale of two teams, but in the end none of this would have been possible for the winning team, if not for LeBron James and his incredible performance, in bringing the Cavs from the brink of elimination to the thrill of winning it all.  'King' James' value to the Cavs was as worthy as the trophy crowning him MVP.

James' promise to bring Cleveland a championship echoed through in the Finals, a promise he had made two summers ago when he signed on as a Cavalier, and continuing through in the playoffs.

Wow, what a comeback!

I was turned off the first two games of the series the way that Cleveland got blown out.To see them win is rather unbelievable from a three one deficit to win it all, just unbelievable.

In case anyone missed it:

Lebron becomes the first player to ever finish a Finals leading both teams in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals.

Did Connor McDavid have to be drafted by the Leafs for him to one day be our LeBron, bringing the championship home?

I only watched the last 4 minutes - the way James reacted after that fall, I thought he had broken his wrist. I mean that was some oscar calibre acting right there.

But that aside, that block was ridiculous.

Timofey Mozgov has left Cleveland and verbally agreed to a 4 year deal with the Lakers, reported to be in $64-65 million range.

Derozan re-signs with the Raptors 5 years 139M (27.5M/year).

The Raptors have no cap space.  Biyombo is gone.   They can still sign guys to the MLE so hopefully they find a shooter.

Don't that they have Bird rights on Biyombo? That would let them go over the cap to resign him if they wanted.

Nope.  They will have them for Lowry when he opts out of his deal but Biyombo was only with the team for the one year and they don't get Bird Rights for him.

That's big, crazy so, but that's just the reality of the expanding cap. Happy to see DeMar back, even if that's sentimentality overriding good judgment.

There certainly is something to be said for Derozan being the first true UFA player to sign back with the team.    The number does seem absurd but it projects closer to an 18-20 million dollar contract pre-cap increase.

Yeah. Seeing that Noah might sign for 18 million a year makes it a little easier to take. Also, I saw someone crunch the numbers and say that with the cap where it is, the rosters where they are and 240 minutes to distribute on a team, an average player playing 30 minutes a night should make 13 million so...you know.

It's still a lot of freakin' money.

Chandler Parsons is getting a max deal from the Grizzlies.

DeRozan looks downright reasonable.
