Unreal. We're two weeks away from the province having no ICU capacity and this dillweed is concerned about attendance for a 4th tier hockey team.
You know, yesterday Bettman said that the league's losses this year would be in the Billions and that it would be cheaper not to play the year but despite that I thought "Well, the distraction of the season may be useful right now" but if owners are going to be publicly lobbying to hold mass indoor gatherings I'd rather the season just be canceled.
I was similar when football (soccer) started back up in the uk. I actually managed to get to a game of my local team here in Belfast which was just a delight. About the only 2 hours of ?normality? I?ve experienced since last March (allowing for the distancing in the stadium and masks etc).
Equally I had enjoyed having football from the Premier League to look forward to on TV, even being a Newcastle fan and thus that hit actually being the most attractive of propositions.
But I have to say, the way things are escalating even more here now, I do feel a bit of a moral debate about whether sport should be being played. It is good to have something to look forward to, but....
