Black Sabbath
« on: August 17, 2011, 02:45:35 PM »
So yesterday the Internet was all abuzz with the supposed confirmation of the original Black Sabbath lineup reunited and recording a new studio album.  Tony Iommi then quickly came out and ripped the paper that reported it, saying a reporter betrayed his confidence and there are no plans to reunite currently.

Now i'm listening to my Sabbath back catalogue with Ozzy and the stuff is damn great.  I'm just here to vent and hope they actually do get back together for one last kick at the can.

I saw them the last time they toured. Probably around 1999 at Skydome(not the full dome though). it was great.

I had just been reading the same thing.  But I've heard talk about it so who knows?

I just googled it, and it was Feb 1999 with the original members. One of the first albums i ever bought was Paranoid. The Mrs and I still listen to Planet Caravan over and over again up at Algonquin Park around the campfire.

I hope the rumours are true. A new Cd and tour would be great.

I hope they stay apart. I love Sabbath..... as they were. I've seen old bands get back together, it usually sucks. I think we try to recapture our youth by wishing old bands back together. I've seen Sabbath 4 times, well 3, In about 83-85ish I got busted for possesion before getting in. Let the real Black Sabbath rest in peace.

Ah...yet another batch of washed up mushicians out of money.

Sabbath of old were fantastic, and should remain 'of old'. Their time is long past, give it a rest.

You should give a listen to some of Tommi's solo stuff.
Pretty hard core metal, but good.
Ozzy is toast his voice has nothing left to it.

I've got "Fused", and the '96 DEP sessions bootleg...some pretty good stuff there.

Still a million times better than anything new out there. What a load of crap. Even Pearl Jam is waining and U2 have released garbage since Joshua Tree.

U2 was great until after Zooropa.  No question.

Lousy kids today and their music and baggy pants. Can't they see what the Jazz is all about?
