Marlies Score an Easy One.

This is a weird one. Watch the goalie blow past the Marlie player as he skates through the neutral zone. Apparently the ref had his hand up to make a call. The goalie thought it was against Toronto so he skated to the bench for the extra attacker. Apparently it wasn't against Toronto

Quite a bizarre goal. There have been many bloopers of defencemen putting the puck into their own net on a delayed penalty (here's a compilation):

But I'd never seen an attacking forward score on an open net, in that instance.

Being a goalie, I have often taken off for the bench when the penalty was on my own team. I've never gotten caught out of the net like that though.

Looking forward to seeing him play on the Marlies. He has a high sh%, great patience when needed, and has proven to be a real team player. Imo, with more minutes, he can be a dangerous player for most professional teams.
