We have no goalies now, cool

But now, they might be able afford an upgrade.

They have to. If they dont come out with a legit starter this has to be the end of the Dubas era.

Ritchie and Mrazek having to be traded away off last season is still an issue for me.  Dubas has mismanaged draft pick assets and it’s part of why we have no prospects to fill in gaps in the roster

I basically agree with downtrading to get out from Mrazek but yeah, bottom line is it cost Dubas a 1st to get rid of a bad mistake.  So yeah gunnar36.

But, respectfully, that’s not really a fair assessment.  This is not like the Marleau deal where the first is out the door.  As others mentioned, a close second is coming back.  It’s fair to feel disappointed, but it’s not fair to describe this as costing a first.

First of all, I'm not disappointed.  I posted earlier that this draft, for sure, is a time to trade down.  But it objectively did cost them a first and objectively was done to fix a GM's mistake.
Mzazek was only a real mistake in hindsight. He just didn't work out. Dubas needed an experienced 1-B in case Campbell faltered.  He needed to bring in someone with long term NHL experience or he would have been toasted. If Mzazek had even a decent season we would all be singing different song.

I don't want Spencer to leave the Leafs (yet).

I am sorry  to hear that as well. My wife went through long chicinguna,  a mosquito spread virus and she was in bad shape for several years. It was horrible. Thank God she recovered but has a heart murmur from it.

Former Leafs: Ex-Files / Larry Hillman passes at 85

The old Leafs are falling, another Larry Hillman won 4 Cups with the Leafs in the 60's and another 2 with other teams.

I feel like at this point we've just named all of the Amazon shows.
Holy smokes, thanks for the rundown.  Is Wheel of Time anywhere decent, I guess its time to find out.

It's a great signing, I found Gio to have a calming affect on the entire D and plays very steady.  I think it is a steal of a deal.  Now time to move out Muzz, Holl and that goalie that I can't spell, whose name is not Campbell. Spezz is done as a player, but development coach, part of staff, yes please.  Simmonds should be mentoring Marlies.  Douglas will be our 4th line C next year no doubt.

But... Why?
Because some people are naturally bent.  I knew a guy who landed a dream job in Bermuda. Getting into a job there is like getting into Fort Knox. Great position, prestige, fantastic money and he does several bent things and gets himself tossed.  Last I heard he was selling used cars in southern England.

Hope that Spezza is retained as a player development coach.  They need his message.

First Lady also is entertaining, follows the lives of Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford and Michelle Obama and weaves back and forth across time as they advance through stages in their lives.  Some very good actress's including Michelle Pfeiffer, Violet Davis and Gillian Anderson.
I gotta say the guy who plays Obama is a spot on voice double.

The Staircase has been excellent so far,  on Crave.

I am going to take the total blame for the series loss. At the beginning of the first game I noticed Paul and I said to my son, "that Paul is a Leaf killer".   I remembered him scoring a few against the Leafs when he was with Ottawa.  Wish we had traded for him now.

Its really hard to be optimistic right now as I look ahead to next season.
Next year Reilly's salary gets a bump, Campbell will be looking for a big raise, will be tough to try and resign Mikheyev. Not a lot in the prospect pipeline in the way of maiking this team more playpff competent.  Our D is aging and Dubas keeps favouring undersized skill guys in draft.⁹
So who is Knies, an undersized skill guy?
