It was $5.5 x 6 years = $33 mil - he wanted longer term like Marchand & Ekblad got
AFP Analytics projected him at $5.5 x 2 yrs (which I thought was too short)
He settled for $21 mil in 3 years - not an outrageous compromise but he's not a youngster coming off a terrible season

The only thing that gives me some hope after Bobrovsky's bad season last year is he's had his first full summer off since going to 3 straight Cup Finals. That has to take a toll on a player so hopefully he can have a bounce back season.

Like most I'm skeptical or cautiously optimistic. The only thing I'm hanging my hat on is Belfour was coming off the worst season of his career before signing with the leafs. The consensus was that he was done. He gave the 2 best goaltending seasons I've ever seen with the leafs.
