I don’t know why the Sharks did this (in a vacuum) but it looks likely they open up a lane for Stenberg and picking up a Smits or whoever is there at 9

If they send us the 9th for Rielly I’d be down

There were talks of him potentially being bought out. So I'm sure the Sabres are just glad to clear that cap hit.

I'm going to say, definitely, there is going to be better player available at number 4 than Bowen Byram.

So Buffalo somehow was offered the 4OA pick for Byram, and still negotiated to get the 45OA pick AND dump Greenway on top of that? I mean...both players are UFA after this year...Over $10M total in Cap space... Surely Chicago easily could have snagged Buffalo's 20OA? It doesn't make SENSE Basil!

To put this in some perspective, and granted he is 7 years older but, Morgan Rielly is a much better defenceman than Bowen Byram.
