That is massive. As good as he was, a full offseason to get in shape only helps him after coming back from injury. 16M is a steal in today's pitching market.

Apparently his wife was pretty tight with the wives club almost right away.
 
Surprising, but great news. Perhaps they work on a long-term deal that will see the option ripped up.

First domino fallen. Keep them coming. Hopefully Bo next. Then just keep adding pieces. They can be right there again next year with some shrewd moves.
 
Apparently the Jays have interest in Murakami. Not sure where he fits unless Clement becomes a super utility or Springer plays outfield

If the Dodgers sign him I want an investigation into prearranged deals in Japan for them.
 
Is he a left handed bat? Would be good to have a really good one of those toward the top of the order.
 
He is indeed a LH bat. Defense is suspect though so they figure he'd have to get moved to 1B at some point. Which we are pretty set at.
