The Jays have the Red Sox while the Yankees square off with the Mets.  Pretty much the remaining imbalance amongst the teams they face the rest of the way.  Would be nice to pad the division lead by at least a game heading into the series on Monday against the Yankees.

Gah...stupid Detroit. Up 3-1 in the 9th.  Two outs and they pull Verlander and immediately it's a tie-ball game.

But they make up for it in the 12th.

Even more, KC took the lead in the top of the 12th and lost it in the bottom.  Burned out more KC pitchers and dashed more KC hopes, it's all good by me.  Jays are now a mere 1 game behind KC for tops in the AL.

And the Jays hold the tie breaker.

Fun little parody song about the Jays.

JV was at 120 pitches and Salvador Perez is .450 lifetime against him. Asumus was thinking right, but the Tigers 'pen is a nightmare.

Why do the Jays hate Dickey? 1 hit through 6. No runs scored so far over his last two starts.

Don't worry.  Encarnacion is his friend.  2-1 Jays.

Osuna strikes out Holt to start the 9th but the umpire decides to call it a foul tip on a ball that his bat gets nowhere close to.  He doubles a few pitches later and Jackie Bradley hits a game tying 2-run home run in the 9th.

Jays had the bases loaded and Gibbons left Goins in to hit against a lefty and he grounded into an inning ending double play...I don't get why he's still hitting against lefties.  He's a sub .200 hitter against them.
