That's it? Yotes overplayed their hand...looks good on them.

Telling me we couldn't have done something close to that? Guy would have been your #1 D and on a better contract than any of our D. Stupid.

Good job Kyle. Another missed opportunity.
Can you just stop it? You know it takes 2 to dance right? One thing for certain, the Leafs picks are a lot further down in every round. We have no idea what went on in their conversations.

We pay firsts for rentals who don't do squat and then are gone. Others can pick up a bonafide star who will make your team that much better, signed for ridiculous money for a few more years and maybe put you over the top for not much more. Kane and Chychrun both gone for not much in my opinion and would have made this team so much better.

Did you expect them to get more? Kane and him went for nothing in my opinion. Original returns we were hearing they could have kept him but what he went for today sorry was a miss.

The Coyotes held Chychrun out for a month to get an ok return.  This seems pretty underwhelming given the pomp around holding hm out for that long

My guess is Arizona overplayed their hand. They might have had better offers early on from other teams, those teams got tired of the non action of a deal and went another direction. Then Arizona decided to take the best offer left.

Can we also laugh at Vancouver for basically paying the same amount for an injured Hronek?

I mean Chychrun went for less than Tanner Jeannot so....

He's been on the block for 18 months. He probably turned down better offers.

If you look at his injury history, which is probably the reason they had a hard time moving him, there is a good chance Kyle was wise to stay clear of what the Yotes were asking - like so many other GMs.

Knee injuries, hip, upper & lower body

After his first NHL season, he hasn't made it beyond 63 games in a season.

24 yrs old in a 30+ year old damaged body ..

Man, that's a painful return. As guilt trip said above, you can't force a team to take what you consider a better offer, I sure as hell hope Dubas tried.

Kane was not available for anyone other than the Rangers. He was only willing to waive his no trade for NYR. He went for not much because the Hawks had zero leverage.

Coyotes definitely overplayed their hand here. Forced themselves into a corner and alienated a lot of teams with their initial asks. Poorly done on their part.

Always at least one that complains about the ones they didn't get. That deal wasn't available to anyone not named the Rags. Same as Chychrun. If the Leafs could have sent a 1st and 2-2nds for him they would have done it and so would a bunch of other teams.
