Round 2: Winnipeg Jets vs. Montreal Canadiens

I think Wpg destroys them. They have more then 1 line that scores and are deep up front. They also have Hellebuyck. In the end though, I don't care who wins. Neither is getting past Vegas/Colorado.

Doesn't matter to me who advances.  I have no issues with Winnipeg...I love Price.  Don't mind cheering for whichever makes it to the semis.

That being said, the Jets should take care of the Habs quite handily.  Of course, only to get obliterated by whomever they face in the semis.

Rooting for the Jets, I guess. It'd be pretty funny if after all the Leafs did to make themselves a pretty darn good defensive group the team that knocked them out gets beat by one of the worst defensive teams in the league.

Montreal up 3-1

What could have been

Yep sad part is they are an average team. Hockey gods must be looking after the Habs as Winnipeg has lost Demelo and Statsny in the first period.

Statsny didn't even start. Lowry is out also lol.

Can I say that I absolutely hate this notion that you aren't charging as long as you glide into the hit.  If you skate 180 feet and then glide for the last 20 feet you were still charging.

It's a bad hit, no question, but if someone like Wilson, with a track record of dangerous hits, doesn't get suspended for a similarly forceful hit, how does the league justify suspending someone like Scheifele, who has no record of supplemental discipline?

Because a Violent Gentleman does what a Violent Gentleman does.

Ahh, yes. The "This Is Who He Is" clause. I keep forgetting about that.

Phone hearing for Scheifele today so 4 max it seems.

Looks like the Habs are kings of the north.  Think Scheifele had just had enough?  I mean the NHL has to realize that when you let a team get away with stuff over and over again, tempers are going to flare.
