Raonic

Slightly hampered by injury now and looks like he's going to lose the final set to love.  That said, Murray has really turned it on.

Edit : or not.  Really gutsy 5th game there.

I like his performance against the top players is improving greatly. He is going to bust through to a grandslam final soon.

Raonic in Finals vs Novak Djokovic at Indian Wells (California) on Sunday (today),  This is the ATP  Tour of the BNP Paribas Open.

GO MILOS!

Well he got smoked by one of the best players ever. What worries me is he is starting to play the injury card when he is losing bad. I will give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. :o

Mark your calendars, gentlemen. ..

Raonic to face Sam Querrey in the Quarter-Finals Wednesday at the 2016 Wimbledon championship.  Querrey, by the way, eliminated Novak Djokovic in a previous round.

GO MILOS!

Raonic defeats Sam Querrey in the Quarter-Finals matchup and will meet Roger Federer in the Semis.

The winner will play in the Finals against the winner of the Andy Murray-Thomas Berdych matchup.

Wish I'd taken the afternoon off to watch today's semi finals. Didn't go to Wimbledon this year (I go most years but didnt get anything in the ballot and didn't fancy queueing) and now starting to regret it.

I'm torn between wanting a Murray v Raonic final (which gives the edge to Murray) or a Murray v Federer final where I would be disappointed if Murray loses but happy for Federer to get one last slam. A true legend who will be missed when he retires.

Man I hope Raonic can win on Sunday.  What a historic day for Canadian tennis if he can pull it off.

There we go. Scotland vs. Scotland Jr.

Milos can wait a few more years for his chance, Murray winning Wimbledon, England soccer being embarrassed by Iceland and ruining their political prospects all in one summer would just be beautiful.

Feh, Murray's already won Wimbledon. Canada needs this. All we have is a stable, popular progressive government and international respect. And a 6 year reign as Olympic Hockey champions. And...

Yeah, ok, go Murray.

This really made me chuckle, well done.  ;D

I have a lot of family in England and they all root for Murray and would probably root for Scotland as well if they ever qualified for any tournaments.

I am sure, most right minded Brits do, my teasing is more a reaction to the media who famously hail Murray as a Brit whenever he has any success and as a Scot whenever he loses.

Murray, ye say?  Nah, my lads, for us Canucks it's Milos all the way!

Raonic "stuns" Federer in the Men's Wimbledon Semifinal and secures himself a place in Canadian Men's tennis history:
