First pre-season game of the year is Sunday at 2pm. The sens have announced the roster they'll be icing for the game:

The Leafs, from what I can tell, have not indicated which group they'll be sending to Ottawa. I would guess it'll be the Nylander-led group, which of course has Willy at C and NHLers including Rielly, Brodie, Domi, Jarnkrok, Kampf, and Reaves.

Almost no incentive to watch except it has all the players I like in a bit expected to win situation.

Guessing:
Domi-Nylander-Lafferty
Knies-Minten-Ellis
Hirvonen-Gambrell-Steeves
Clifford-Suthers-Shaw
Slavin

Rielly-Liljegren
Lagesson-Timmins
Lajoie-Villeneuve
Miller

G split

Nearly the same guess as Cushman?s

Any sweeping conclusions gents?

Nylander's game 1 audition at C went about as well as you could have hoped, minus a goal I guess. His line crushed the Tkachuk-Stutzle-Giroux line, which has a full year of experience together, at 5-on-5. And that was with Steeves at RW.

I don't know how high his offensive ceiling is going to go, but Knies continues to battle and battle and battle. Thought it was notable that he was playing top PK minutes. He could end up being a dark horse candidate for #5 or 6 PK minutes at forward this season. His defensive instincts might not be David Kampf-like but on the PK sometimes you can get by just hustling.

I love the way he protects the puck during board battles. Basically never worried he'll get stripped.

Funny how someone said they didn't like Timmins but looks like he had a couple points.
