Game Notes
TB
•Andrei Vasilevskiy (3-0-1, 2.52 GAA, .901 Sv%) will likely start for the Lightning
•No Stamkos? No problem. At least not for Nikita Kucherov who is currently leading the league in goals with 7 in his 4 games so far this season
•Stamkos' replacement, Jake Guentzel, is fitting in nicely as a Lightning with 1 goal and 5 points in 4 games
TOR
•Anthony Stolarz (2-2-0, 2.39 GAA, .937 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs

•Don't be surprised to see a line-up change or two against the Lightning. Feels like there's a decent chance Pacioretty finds his way back into the line-up and Liljegren will surely get a chance to play again eventually too

Pacioretty should probably come in over Holmberg to give him a bit of a reset.

Timmins hasn't been the worst, but we have Liljegren and Myers to keep relatively engaged. Tanev going down for even a little bit was mildly harrowing.

I watched the Habs-Pens game last week. The video quality was excellent with not one hiccup. I am rooting for Amazon to secure the NHL rights.
On a bit of a whim I decided to subscribe to Sportsnet+ this season through the Amazon Prime app instead of the Sportsnet app, and the video quality even on that seems better than what I've experienced over the years of using the Sportsnet app. Significantly less of a delay between the live game and the broadcast too.

I hate that all the broadcasts are split up right now but once the the current TV deal expires if Amazon can somehow secure a massive streaming deal at least I'd be all for that.

I'm holding reservations on Amazon until I see the broadcast. I'm having a hard time escaping the terrible Apple TV broadcasts for MLB.

I need to look into that, I don't think the Sportsnet app is bad (TSN is terrible) but I believe the picture could be better.

I have the latest and greatest Fire TV Stick 4K Max. For $80 it's the better than my Google TV Chromecast, and the Roku built into my TV. I had the older Fire TV Stick 4K and that was really good too.

Can't compare to Apple TV since I don't have that.

I'm actually surprised Myers hasn't gotten into a game yet over Timmins. He looked pretty good in preseason and is a little more suited to playing PK minutes.

Finally my Amazon prime does something for me! The shipping still takes forever where I live though

Myers is the more known quantity at the NHL level and is basically Hakanpaa-lite.

Maybe they really want to know if Timmins can become an actual thing, because that would make a huge difference on the puck moving side (usually $$$ in the market). His game is, due to injury and the associated lack of experience, still immature.

They are sitting Reaves against the fast teams that don't really throw knuckles (but what is Pacioretty?)

I think it's fine to preserve the old guys and cycle them strategically to keep them engaged and placed in position to succeed (insofar as that is possible). Holmberg probably moves to L4. Front half of a B2B too, so I expect Reaves will check back in tomorrow and whichever one of Holmberg/Robertson are most poop will sit. Columbus tomorrow might be a good time to mix in Myers and Liljegren (rest Tanev?)

NOT happy about this. We watch games on our tv with CABLE. Do not wanna watch on my computer. This sucks. It's as bad as Jays games on Apple TV.

grrrrrrrr
