The number of goals the leafs have had called back while the other team can do what it wants is astounding. Totally inconsistent application of the rules in a way that always penalizes the Leafs.

I think perhaps next season the league needs to do away with the tablets behind the bench. And for once, I agree with Millen. The challenges and referee rulings are all wrong, more than they are right, or so it seems.

It?s much worse. At least that was a bright line test. (Except when Dallas won the cup) Now no one knows what the rules are. Except you can pretty safely bet against the Leafs having anything called in their favour.

Marner got sticked by Kane it appeared but no call.  And what a terrific play by Matthews which almost resulted in a goal.

I don't really care a lot whether the standard for goaltender interference would or wouldn't have allowed either of those goals, but I can't fathom there being a standard where one counts and the other doesn't. More than anything else I'm frustrated by what seems to be arbitrary and unfathomable decisions and I am not the only one...when professional broadcasters (who live, eat and breathe the game on a daily basis) don't have the faintest idea what it is, there's a problem.

The league either needs to abandon this, or they need to find some way to be consistent and fair so everyone has a very clear idea what is and isn't interference and has a reasonable expectation if it being called correctly every single time no matter what rink it is, what teams are playing, or which officials are calling the game.

What a crazy game!  Willy played so well and it's only right that he scored.  But I still think that Babcock really wanted to start Leo on the OT again....
