Well, he's got his work cut out for himself there. As Berube found out, that is easier said than done with certain members of this team.

Lalonde ran the PK and it did very good until tank time.
 
Out of the 3 assistants Van Ryn definitely made the most sense to go. It's obviously tough to really evaluate assistant coaches but it seems like he was always in a weird role with the team.

Like when he was first brought on board he pushed Chynoweth out of overseeing the defence which left him just handling PK duties. An odd demotion for a fairly experienced and established assistant coach which of course led to him leaving a year later.

And then for whatever reason even in the 2 seasons that followed Van Ryn never took on a full role handling a speciality team assignment as Lambert handled PK duties in 24/25 and of course Lalonde did it this season.
