Toronto News:James Reimer did not practice on Friday after participating in the previous five on-ice workouts. Ron Wilson said after practice that Reimer had hit a plateau in his recovery so the trainers decided not to ask him to go on the ice. "We've got the healthy guys and they're doing the job so we'll give James plenty of time to recover. There's no rush to get him back." Reimer hasn't played in two weeks after suffering an undisclosed injury against Montreal on October 22nd. -TSN

Wilson declined to reveal the starter for Saturday?s game against Boston. Ben Scrivens made 38 saves in his NHL debut on Thursday, a 4-1 win over Columbus. Jonas Gustavsson had started previous five games, posting a 3-2-0 record. The Leafs were beaten 6-2 by the Bruins in their only matchup earlier this year.-TSN

Luke Schenn played only 9:13 vs. the Blue Jackets, but Wilson said the coaching staff hadn?t decided on whether he needed a night off. Wilson noted that he believed in Schenn?s ability to get through this difficult stretch. -TSN

Wilson also addressed his contract situation by saying that nothing had changed in his status. ?I didn?t feel uncomfortable before. I?m just doing my job.? -TSN

Boston News: Rich Peverley and Dennis Seidenberg both missed practice for the second straight day for maintenance, but Claude Julien said there's no concern that they'd miss any time. - Boston Globe

I'm shocked that Scrivens is starting tonight.

I read a tweet a few moments ago that Wilson wants to see what he can do in consecutive games. Like I said yesterday, I really don't think there was a poor call to be made here either way.

Yea, I don't think it's a bad decision, just not the one I expected.

I really don't think they have been too happy with Gustavsson and Scrivens looked really impressive in Columbus.

I think starting Scrivens is probably the better decision from a media savvy sense. If he started Gus and Gus got shelled there'd be some pretty loud cries that starting Scrivens was the smart move. If Scrivens starts and gets shelled then I think people will be more inclined to write it off as a young goalie having a tough start against a good team.

As soon as I heard that Scrivens has a tribute to the HIP on his mask I was sold. Lets go SCRIVENS!

Yeah, I agree with this.

I'm not sure how Gus handles this, but I think it's the right move. Let's see where we are with Scrivens.

The bigger question is how he handles a demotion if Scrivens continues to awe the coaching staff.

I like Scrivens but this isn't Columbus tonight. Boston is always tough on us and with there bad start so far, we are likely to be in a real dog fight in this one. I hope he's up to it.
