Canada lost 2-0 to Argentina but won 1-0 against Peru in Copa America.  They face Chile on Saturday.  A win or a draw and they advance to the quarter finals.

And a blatant head butt by Peru that was not red Carded, travesty. they got on later for trying to break Shaftleburgs leg.

Argentina game had suspect refereeing too. I watched both games and enjoyed them. However, it's hard as a fringe fan to get into it when it feels the refs are working against them. I will never forget the Olympic women's Canada VS USA when the refs were solely the reason the USA won.

The thread is called the Euro Cup but Canada is in the Copa America.

Canada with a frustrating 0-0 draw against Chile but it lets them advance out of Group A along with Argentina.  Frustrating lack of finish but overall a great result early on for Jesse Marsch

(And yes, this is COPA America the Americas equivalent of Euro Cup)

Canada defeats Venezuela 1:1 (4:3) in penalties to advance to the semi-finals and face Argentina again

Alistair Johnston was a Colossus, kept their best wingers in his pocket all night.

Fuck you Maduro, your boys took one hell of a beating.

Canada should have scored about 6.

Finish continues to be a big issue for Canada so far under Marsch but they certainly have had chances to score in most games.  This game was easily their best offensive game as they had several chances that were either put wide or stopped by the keeper.

4-0 loss to the Netherlands; 0-0 draw against France; 2-0 loss to Argentina; 1-0 win against Peru; 0-0 draw against Chile; 1-1 draw against Venezuela

This is also probably the best run of teams Canada has faced. WR 1, 2, 7, 31, 40, and 54.  So a 2-2-2 record over that stretch is pretty phenomenal (keeping in mind the draw against France was immediately before Euros/Copa so France wasn't going to risk injury to star players).
