Kopitar and Danault (has to be one of the best "big" free agent signings in awhile) are scary down the middle. And if they had Doughty I would have considered them to be a bit of a sleeper team in the West. Without him though I think Edmonton takes this in 7.

I think at some point McDavid can't  be denied and the Oil get weirdly good goaltending. Oil in 5.

Danaut scores the game winner to put the LA Kings up 1-0.

EDIT: It was actually 8:46

Sadly Danault was credit with the GWG since it went off him but that's still pretty nuts. Nice to see Durzi having success in his rookie season. A couple of trades there that worked out very well for both teams.

Moore also actually had 2 assists last night along with the goal.

Oilers gonna Oiler. I turned the game off after two periods even though it was tied. For some reason, my good feeling about the game evaporated with that last Oilers PP in the 2nd. Hopefully they bounce back.

I don?t know how they can expect to win having ceci and barrie in your top 6. We?ve been there and seen the results.

So has Sportsnet and TSN jumped back off the Oiler's bandwagon yet? I've never seen the media be more fairweather than they have been with the Oilers this year. I get that they are desperately seeking the next Crosby or Canadian great, but it doesn't seem very likely like McDavid is going to realize a cup win with the Oilers.

We might be getting pretty close to them completely flipping and wondering if a team led by McDavid can win. Obviously, he can't do it alone, but we know how much the media loves them a good narrative.

Hyman with 1 point in his last 8 playoff games.
And that wasn't much last year. The puck was going in anyway and he barely made contact with it. Liked him but so glad he's not playing with M&M anymore.

"So glad." Really? I like Bunting a lot but you're implying Hyman was brutal.
