Don't worry, once Matthews faces off against Crosby and consumes his soul he'll be one step closer to being the last Highlander.

I get that the rest of your post was tounge-in-cheek, but is "Matthews is tailing off" a thing people are saying? Prior to the West coast trip he had 15 points in his past 12 games.
How did I get brought into this? 8)Nik the Trik said:Significantly Insignificant said:I believe I was sold a bill of goods by TSN that may be false then.

Bates said:The 2nd half of season 1 is usually more difficult for players as the other teams get to know them and figure out how to play them better. Lesser players fade and some even disappear. I'm not worried about Matthews, he's a very smart player and will adjust to counter the opposition.

It's funny because I haven't really thought of him that way. The points have occasionally come in bunches but I think he's been pretty consistent most nights.
L K said:If the point spread between Laine and Matthews continues to grow, Babcock playing Matthews with Brown/Hyman is likely going to cost him a fair number of ROY votes. Maybe that shouldn't be the priority but I think there are still too many voters who are going to look at raw points in their voting decision.

I mean, I'm happy to say it. I don't really care about the ROY and don't think it should be a driving force in any decision but in general I think it'd be better to put Matthews with guys who can occasionally carry the load so maybe he feels less frustrated.
