i don't get the impression that the leafs care about moving up to third. not from what limited stuff i've read.  if mirtle is correct they're not as high on strome as most tend to be.

Obviously pogge fell far short of expectations for him but I do kind of think it's hard for goalies to flourish when your on ice product is already so bad.  Like i wonder if Rask would have turned out that much better for the leafs if they had of kept him or if he would have also failed to be...

this is a pretty good game  0-0 after 2  ..it's been close but I think tampa has been better over all.  I wonder if they'll get a powerplay.

I'd say the long term nature of the deal seems to suggest that there is time for failure built in here.  I know just because a coach is hired for a length of time doesn't mean they'll be on that team that long ...but 8 years seems like an attempt to say we expect this might not be an over night...

so if the tidbit about the leafs plane going to detroit means anything then I guess they probably wouldn't announce this until 6:30?  like i would imagine the whole point is to have him in toronto for the press conference ....again...the big IF that means anything.

i still find it hard to believe the east has anything to stand up against whomever comes out of the ducks and blackhawks series....guess we'll see though

I guess i'm not one much affected by the content of their speech.  It's definitely an immature thing to do.  But the way this has been tied specifically degrading to women?  Like I guess I feel like this would be equally stupid to any situation where someone runs up while someone is on camera...

this seems to have the potential to be the best series of the playoffs. 

i thought the habs should have won that game..not that i wanted them to..but that goal with one second left must be backbreaking will be hard for them to recover in time for tomorrow night's game

I kind of got the impression their game styles were too similar and the redwings have a fair bit of experience with the possession game.  Only one team can have the puck at a time.  the habs are a different animal again...and this series is by no means over..but i don't think montreal matches up...

that game was awful...reminded me a bit of the year the leafs were put out by the devils

i don't know ..i'd rather the marlies get deep because they're playing well ..not because the other team doesn't have their best players.  At one point they were dead last I'd say they've already achieved a certain level of success this season just by making it.

i have to say i'm enjoying just how miserable the habs are looking.  They won the first three and you could tell they thought this was a cakewalk ...now all of the sudden..it's a series.

that format looks even stranger for a best of five with the first two games being at the lower seed's venue.  Like if either team won the first three games the lower seeded team would get more ticket sales.

i wonder if this means they already have replacements in mind.
