Tavares Stolarz. Good for him calling out the lazy, ticky tacky play of the team.

We're trying Nik. We're trying

A couple things I've noticed from the 3 games I've watched: Robertson is buzzing. While he's generally "always buzzing", he seems to be playmaking a little more and seeing the ice better. Domi and McMann also seem to be really gelling with Robertson. I really like that 3rd line. Maccelli is...

Stolarz Nylander

It actually looks like he was trying to use the momentum to not only draw a penalty, but clip the other defender.

EL Nylander

Yeah, I've been training goalies for 30 years now. Again, I see no issue with his play on any of those goals. Sure, he could have stopped them with really excellent saves, but those would not be throw away saves. First goal, where should he go? Into the mass of legs and sticks? Second Goal...

I agree about the realignment of the full roster because Laughton went out is extreme. That said, I think you can call his success fleeting. He saw two ok years where his shooting went through the roof. Both in quantity and percentage. If he played a majority of his 23/24 season on the 3rd...

He's a top 6 forward or bust IMO. And the early smell test says bust

Easy peasy

I think they should run the exact same line up as yesterday. My only thought would be to drop Maccelli to the 4th line or the press box.

After watching yesterday's game, I think you run back the exact same lines today. Can't keep hand grenading the roster(or even tinkering) after every game. Give them some time to Grow. Ultimately, this would be my line up: Cowan Matthews Nylander Knies Tavares Maccelli McMann Domi...

That was a well played game. Some real good things happening. The team is going in the right direction IMO. Pros: McMann looked real good. Rielly continues to look excellent. Matthews had lots of chances. Cowan looked pretty good. Cons: While they had some puck time, Nylander/Tavares are...

McMann Rielly

Definitely. Stop sitting on your hands waiting for someone else to fix the problem.

Rielly Tavares The two guys we keep trying to write off.

When you lose skill as the Leafs have done, the only way to counteract that is by upping intensity and forechecking. If they can, this team will be fine. If they can't, the removal of skill will really show.
