These were my picks before Treliving was hired: Mehta essentially replaces Tulsky there. Gillis remains but I doubt we could get Gilman out of his deal with Columbus after only being hired there a few months ago even with a promotion. I still think my Garth Snow x-factor pick would be fun.

Yeah, I mean, that's insane. Obviously the guys leading the charge were there before him (Crosby, Malkin, Rust, Rakell, Letang to a lesser extent) but I'm pretty sure nobody else on the team was there pre-Dubas.

Sunny Mehta would be an interesting name. Analytics guy who was a total outsider to hockey at first. But has now worked for 4 NHL teams over 10+ years including holding the AGM job with the Panthers while they won their two Cups.

It's pretty crazy. 3 years later Shanahan is gone, Trevling is gone, Leafs are a mess, and Dubas is taking a team almost everyone predicted would finish at the bottom of the Metro to the playoffs.
