Even if blowing up the core isn't feasible (e.g. trading Marner) do nothing to augment them like this season. Stockpile picks and prospects, give as many opportunities (and extended ones at that) to youth as possible. Trade expiring contracts at the deadline when possible.

The Leafs are on the whole a much slower team than Montreal (or at least looked it this series). Both in terms of footspeed and puck movement. Something to be addressed in the offseason.
