More infuriating: Mathew or Matthew?

tsn is driving me crazy...they had it Brazal all over their home page, like 3 times.

http://www.tsn.ca/hockey-canada/video/brazal-on-prestige-of-gold-lessons-from-tavares~1014754

This one is the best, in that it is even tagged Matthew Brazal. TV graphics got it right though.

This year's tournament currently feels like a dud to me (Canada cut Girard!), but I'll probably still watch.

Group A Rosters: http://www.tsn.ca/2017-world-junior-rosters-group-a-1.630084

Group B Rosters: http://www.tsn.ca/2017-world-junior-rosters-group-b-1.630096

Off-topic I guess but it's sure starting to look like Carolina had a couple of pretty solid drafts the last few years.

The guy I wanted the Leafs to draft with the 30th overall selection, Samuel Girard, gets cut despite being the highest scoring defenceman in the CHL (in terms of PPG).

Sam Steel, the guy that Anaheim drafted with the 30th overall selection gets cut, despite being the 2nd highest scoring Canadian in the CHL (in terms of PPG).

As a fellow Girardiac this is probably the point where I mention that I tend to think Canada far too often favours age/experience/predictability when putting together their WJC rosters.

Team Canada Men ‏@HC_Men  6h6 hours ago
Dylan Strome (C), Mathew Barzal (A) and Thomas Chabot (A) to captain Canada at the #WorldJuniors.

The US cut Alex DeBrincat today. He's 1 point behind Canadian and teammate Taylor Raddysh for the lead in OHL scoring this season.

The good news is that this means Bracco made the team. I'm guessing the final spot likely came down to those two.

Same decision last year went the other way. Not sure why the Us program can only have one small high scoring forward per team (as if scoring is automatic? See DeBrincat's previous tournament injury fizzle), but there you have it.
