BUF
?U.P. Lukkonen (19-16-2, 2.46 GAA, .914 Sv%) will likely start for the Sabres

TOR
?Ilya Samsonov (15-5-6, 3.23 GAA, .883 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?David Kampf missed practice due to an illness on Tuesday and it seems doubtful he'll be in the line-up against Buffalo, especially with another game coming up immediately after on Thursday

I think in a perfect world I would have given each of the goalies a start against Boston this week, but I guess with 4 games in 6 nights it makes sense to alternate like this.

A team that has quite a bit of promising young talent that you'd think would be higher in the standings.

They struggle some on the defensive side of the puck (not unusual for a young team), goaltending has been inconsistent (though, UPL has had a nice run of late), and have seen some regression, as well as some players not blossoming as hoped. Bit of a hard split between their top 6 and bottom 6 in terms of production - similar to the Leafs, except their top 6 is just not as good. Good team, but missing the consistent elite forwards they need to be higher in the standings. Thompson looked like he could be part of that, but they need more than just him.

Diarrhea game tonight

Are the Leafs the most flu riddled team in the league?  I've heard the flu excuse multiple times this season.

And they just moved their leading scorer for a defenceman. A good defenceman, but, still . . . weird.

Tavares toddlers, Kampf toddler, Samsonov toddler, Bertuzzi toddler?

And their most productive center... Very weird.

All that Sabre pressure and penalty to the Leafs because Brodie doesn't move the puck out of our zone. Time to move it but reverses it. For what?

It was the right move. He had no one up ice to send it too. It would have been stupid for him to send it up the middle of the ice.
