DET
?Alex Lyon (20-18-5, 3.03 GAA, .906 Sv%) will likely start for the Red Wings
?Detroit is essentially playing in a must-win game here. They currently sit 10th in the East and 1 point out of a wild card spot. It's a very tight race though with 4 teams all within 1 point battling for that final spot. The Wings would likely need to win all 3 of their final games to make the playoffs

TOR
?Ilya Samsonov (23-7-7, 3.08 GAA, .891 Sv%) will start for the Leafs
?Max Domi was not at practice on Friday for undisclosed reasons. Keefe described him as day to day but did not rule out the possibility he would be fine to play here
?Liljegren skated on the top pair alongside Rielly at practice on Friday. He still needs to get the final green light to play but Liljegren is hoping to get back into the line-up for the first time since March 26th

My guess is the blocked shot took a big bite out of Eddie.

If Matthews scores the 70th on a rainbow lob from the DZ then the Leafs deserve the Stanley Cup (lead-free) then and there.

We know what happens next, right? Matthews scores tonight and goes goalless in the last two.

Nice!

Obviously don't want that to happen. The other "typical Leafs" thing to happen would be to aggravate his past wrist injury scoring goal 70 in game 82 and then being a non-factor in the playoffs as a result.

Either way you look at it 69 isn't too bad either. Oh hold on I'm thinking something else.

If Auston Matthews scores his 70th, assisted by Nylander and Marner both reaching 100pts, who should get the puck?

70 is only significant because we have a base-10 arithmetic system.

If we had a base-23 system instead Matthews' next goal would be the big one.

That?s some stat. Not just the 68 goals but 20 posts hit.

Could have 88 goals if he was 1cm more accurate.

Please tell me we?re not going to have to see non-hockey fans in those stupid SportsAction ads all playoffs. Its extremely aggravating
