Anyone know if Borgman or Rosen made their respective rosters?

Rosen yes, Borgman no.

Both of them were sent to the AHL.

Evidently, the article I saw from yesterday was incorrect as they had Rosen on the bottom pair. :/  Connor Timmins made the team, thus sending Rosen down.

On a side note - Colorado has a very young, but very good D-group.  If they play up to their potential...

One surprising former Leaf (draft pick) who just made a NHL roster: Carter Verhaeghe with Tampa.

Verhaeghe was a 3rd round draft pick all the way back in 2013. He was one of the 5 fringe prospects that Lou traded to the Islanders for Grabner back in 2015. He had a couple of uninspiring AHL seasons with the Islanders' affiliate and then was traded to Tampa 2 years ago. He actually led the AHL in scoring last year with 82 points in 76 games. He'll now make his NHL debut at the age of 24.

Pretty cool story. It's also nice to see Tampa finally catch a break with these kinds of guys.

Reminds me of something Nik said a couple of years ago...he was picking a "vet that hasn't won the cup yet, but would be nice to see him win"...Nik picked Mike Fisher, because Mike just couldn't seem to catch a break in life.

I had a feeling he would make it someday...good for him!  Never give up.
