NYR
?Igor Shesterkin (26-12-1, 2.65 GAA, .911 Sv%) will likely start for the Rangers
?Shesterkin did not get off to his typical franchise goalie level performance this season, but it looks like the real Shesterkin has finally arrived. He's currently won 7 straight games with a .953 Sv% during that span

TOR
?Ilya Samsonov (14-5-6, 3.25 GAA, .881 Sv%) will start for the Leafs
?Toronto's line-up has a number of question marks in their line-up that will need to be figured out tomorrow, so a bunch of different players could be in the line-up, scratched, or on the injured reserve
?To begin with Ilya Lyubushkin is of course on his way to Toronto and it's expected he'll once again play alongside Rielly once he gets into the line-up, but it's not confirmed yet if he'll have his Visa issues sorted out by Saturday
?On the injured front Jarnkrok took his spot back on the 3rd line at practice Friday, while Liljegren did not practice with the main group. So of the two it looks like Jarnkrok has a better chance of suiting up tomorrow but neither are confirmed in or out as of Friday

Going to be a tough one tonight. Reeves may have to sort out fighting Matt Rempe. I thought goon hockey was gone.
I predict Samsanov will melt down in the first and Woll will come in and get the Leafs into overtime where Papi will score.

I would start Woll period.

Me too, we are treading water with Samsonov. He won't be back and I believe the Beast and Woll will backstop us next year.  May want to keep Jones around as well.

Dear Bobby McMann,

In your brief NHL career, it is probably not going to get much better than this:
McMann-Tavares-Jarnkrok

Credit Keefe for giving you the chance.

Make it count!

Meanwhile Robertson keeps getting f'd. If I was him I'd ask for a trade.

He's scored like 1 goal in the last umpteen games, if I'm not mistaken.  He's been OK, not spectacular.  I personally think he's just too small to ever really make it.

He was 6th in points produced at 5v5 per 60. He was 5th in goals produced at 5v5 per 60 and he doesn't play with Matthews Marner Nylander and just started with JT.  So he's out produced Knies, Bert, Jarnkrok with worse linemates

Not surprised about Knies and Bertuzzi but I am about Jarnkrok.

Ya but he's not the only one like GT has stated. Bertuzzi has scored as many goals in the last 2 weeks than he had all season and only 4 more than Nick with more games, ice time and better linemates. Robertson just seems to be the one who seems to get the shaft and it's not only this season. I personally think it must be hard for his confidence when he seems to be the odd man out all the time.

Robertson is the only one who can go down without waivers.
Someone else would have had to go on waivers otherwise.
They didn't want to lose a player on waivers.

Poor defense there 3 guys backed in doing nothing and Boosh with the screen. Nothing like carrying the play and down 1-0.

Leafs took the easy way out as they should here. Had he not been waiver exempt, Gregor would be the guy. Leafs are taking advantage and they should. Keefe knows what he has in him and will be a good depth piece should they need him.  What makes me laugh is the people that say trade him instead of keeping him as a depth forward.
