Berger seems to think it will be one close to the one they wore when they last won the Cup. I guess we'll see soon enough

Made of wool?  :o

All due respect to the success the team had with those jerseys but that is hands down the fugliest Maple Leaf the team has worn.

Defo doesn't rank up there, but, hey, if it helps them win a Cup, then why not?

Short of using one to strangle Tim Thomas I don't see how a jersey could do that.

Plus this should sell a boatload to the general public.

Great news for the scrappy young underdogs who own the team, I guess.

I can never really see much difference in any of the Leafs jerseys.  Or sweaters.  Or whatever we're supposed t call them.

Honestly, there's only so much you can do with blue and white with leafs in the centre.

#1, his column is called "Berger Bytes"?  Oy.

#2, I like the current alternate.  The one pictured is not bad, though.  Personally I think the Leafs are cursed by the 70s typeface on the current jerseys.

The Leafs should scrap the current Harold Ballard crest. All it symbolizes is losing.

I would like to see them wear only this 1967 type jersey and the last alternate jersey - one of them as the main and one of them as the alternate.

I think the Leafs blew it last year redesigning the regular jersey keeping the Ballard crest.

Yeah, this would be fine if they made the current alternate style the home/away one. I don't like the idea of getting rid of them entirely.

Absolutely. Why get rid of the current one, unless they wouldn't be allowed by the league to have two different ones? It could be the white alternate jersey and the new one the blue. And they could wear these for all games against the Original 6 teams and in the playoffs. I think the Leafs blew it here.

Ditto.  I hope Berger is mistaken and there is no change in store, because a)I really like the current alternate, and b)I dislike this proposed new one.  :-\

I like that jersey.

I think that picture doesn't represent it well.

A better representation might be like the one at Keon's ceremony.

If I'm not mistaken, Keon went on to pot a hat trick that night.  ;D

I actually kinda like that jersey. It's got some nice retro stylings. Looks really Art-Deco to me.
