Maple Leafs Training Camp 2024-25 Thread

Matthew Knies clocks in 10 lbs heavier than last year and takes over the lead for heaviest Leaf forward @ 6'3" 227 lbs. He is ready for the boards.

Not gonna lie I heard this just as "Domi is on his wing" as in Domi is playing wing, but not specifically Nylander's wing. Everyone else is generally interpreting it the way Mark is though. We'll find out tomorrow I guess regardless.
 
With Minten & Dewar out and them carefully working Hakanpaa into the line up, if Hakanpaa & Dewar start the season on LTIR, they can keep Timmins for now, add Pacioretty at NHL min plus bonus, sign Lorentz at NHL min and then decide between Robertson and Cowan as to which to keep - and that fits under the cap.

Obviously, there are many other things they could do but they could have some slack to keep an extra player or two beyond camp with LTIR

Hakanpaa and/or Dewar would of course have to miss all of October for them to be eligible for LTIR. Who knows the actual extent of their injuries right now though.

Easily explained.  He had parts of both femurs removed and then reinstalled with titanium reinforcements.

Timothy bulking up, I think there is so much more there than we have seen so far. Excited to see him play a little heavier.

Does it not feel like Keefe sucked at balancing the lines? I don't hate the guy and he had everyone playing defensively responsible hockey but it was so damn redundant with him. We should have switched coaches last summer.
