Was playing in the ECHL this time last year. What a story. I'm assuming that he doesn't play, as even if he were here as a precaution for Bozak the Leafs still have 4 capable NHL centres. Unless of course Babcock wants to sit a Grabner or Arcobello.

Both are retroactive to their last played games.
Leafs are running 6 D at the moment with Corrado on the conditioning stint, so it looks like the Gardiner assignment means we'll be seeing a Marlie call up after tonight.

Right, but surely you see the upside to this. The big picture view. You'll not only tune back in once the team turns the corner, there'll be more fans than ever tuning in.

If this team actually succeeds in building a perennial winner, this will all be worth it. Hell, not hearing 'Leafs suck' all the time alone will make it all worth while.

Before we found out it was LTIR I first actually thought this was the main reason for the call-up. Thought maybe a handshake agreement was made between him and the Leafs that if he were in the AHL he would get called up every now and then for a salary "bonus".
