I think I read that Hakanpaa will be free from LTIR jail after this game, provided he has clearance from the medical team. I assume the same for Dewar if he was LTIR'd retroactively, as he was on IR originally until Woll's status forced a cap compliance move.

The timing of the Liljegren trade indicates that is likely the case (cap space available now). Roster slots will need to be opened up to activate them, so that's either more trades for picks/prospects or Myers/Benning/some forward are getting sent down.

It sure feels like Robertson is on the way out too.

I somewhat expect to see Benning on waivers today. He's essentially 9th on the depth chart (8th if we're being generous) and isn't a trade asset the team should be worried about losing for nothing.

Man, what it Leafs had protected McCann instead of Kerfoot... anyway, which Leafs tem will show up ?

That's always the question, right? Will it be the team that destroyed Tampa, played even with a tough Ranger team and ended Winnipeg's winning streak? Or will they come out flat as they often do against "lesser" teams. Woll is in net...guy is coming back from injury and had a rough first outing, you might think the team would play extra hard for him. History says they come out flat and get in trouble early. We'll know soon enough.

Leafs didn't protect Kerfoot. They protected Holl and it was the right move at the time. Doubtful he'd still be here. The Leafs didn't spend 5M on Hyman, so they probably weren't spending it on McCann either.
