Toronto News: Tim Connolly skated on the top line with Phil Kessel and Joffrey Lupul on Wednesday. James Reimer is also very likely to return on Thursday. Reimer missed last game due to whiplash-like symptoms from a collision with Brian Gionta in Montreal. - TSN

new York News:

All info/lines comes from TSN Ice Chips and this opening post will be updated if the lines change leading upto game time.

I think that they should split up the Grabovski line...replace MacArthur with either Lombardi or Kadri...let MacArthur-Steckel play on a line with Brown or someone...

Even though it's early, this seems like a big game to me.  If we lose, I'm going to be fearing the Colby Armstrong Effect (i.e. the Leafs suck without him).  Any news on his expected return?

Leafs 3-1.  Scrivens (who flew to NY this morning per Paul Hendrick) with a fine performance in goal, Kessel pots his 10th.

They are saying Reimer doubtful as of this morning... God damnit.... The team just doesnt play as well for Gus.. Gus is probable reports are saying

Since it's the Leafs, Gaborik will have a breakout performance.
Since it's Gaborik he will break his rear and be out for the rest of the season.

Oh good Lord, now the Reimer thing is more serious than initially let on.  This could be ugly.

Perhaps not but he had a shutout last night and if I were Wilson I'd put him out there over Gus just to mix it up a bit.

If Reimer is out I hope they give Gus the start. I don't want to give up him just yet.

It's the same as it always was?  A day to day thing to see how he's feeling.  At least based on what we know at this point.

Leafs initially said Reimer could have finished the game on Saturday night but was sat as a "precaution".  This sounds a lot more serious now if he's missing another game after having 4 days rest.

No Reimer on the ice this morning. Gustavsson and Scrivens the two goalies.

Guess that settles that, no Reimer tonight.

But it could really be anything, from just some stiffness still, to concussion symptoms, to who knows what.  I wouldn't get really worried until we know more (although, feel free to! :)).

>:(  :'(  :-\

And if anyone wants Scrivens to play, I don't know if that would be great for his first NHL game - home opener at MSG, after playing last night (getting a shutout!) and having to fly back from BC.

I think Reimer is ducking the tough clubs. I'm sure he'll be all healed up by Sunday.
