Game 25: Bruins @ Leafs 7:00PM TSN

Pinball Clemons said:
?As nice as a guy is, when his girlfriend breaks up with him, he wants to have a prettier girl with him when he sees her next time,? says Michael (Pinball) Clemons, the former Argo great who dropped by Leaf practise. ?The guy wants to show the old girlfriend he?s a lot better looking than she thinks.?

The Leafs, in other words, feel a need to prove they?re at least equal to their tormentor ? the Bruins.

I really don't know what to take of an article giving me Pinball Clemons' thoughts about the Leafs state of mind against the Bruins.  :o

Anything other than a blow-out would make me happy.

Hopefully the league's best 4th liner will get his touch back.

Toronto News: Goaltender James Reimer is expected to serve as the backup when the Leafs take on the Bruins in Boston on Saturday. The 23-year-old hasn't played since October 22nd, suffering from "concussion-like symptoms".

Carl Gunnarsson and David Steckel were both back at practice on Tuesday after missing Sunday's game in Anaheim with left hand injuries. Ron Wilson said both remain day-to-day. Gunnarsson seems the more likely to play; he skated for much of practice with Dion Phaneuf, while Steckel dressed as an extra forward.

Jonas Gustavsson, who won the last four games, is expected to start in goal against the Bruins on Wednesday. Colby Armstrong skated before practice. - TSN

Boston News:

All info/lines comes from TSN Ice Chips and this opening post will be updated if the lines change leading up to game time.

I think we split these next 2 games with Boston.  At least I hope we do.

3-2 Leafs tonight.

4-1 Bruins next game.

The Leafs' morning skate is being broadcasted live on NHL.com:

I haven't noticed anything terribly exciting, but it could interest some of you.

Back to back games with the Bruins on Wednesday and Saturday - i'm having flashbacks to the late 60's and early 70's.

Winning in Bean Town and MSG are going to be tough so we must do well tonight here at home.

Shutting down Seguin will be key considering how much he's burned us in those two blowouts. The good news is that he's started to slow down a little bit, failing to record a point in 5 of his last 7 games and only scoring 1 goal in that stretch.

Why, Ron, why? Just when I think I like you, you do this...

I think the Leafs will split the next two, winning it tonight in the shootout.

Hate to see Grabo on the 4th line but he'll be out of there soon enough.

Who do you put in if Steckel can't go, assuming no call-up?

Probably because A) Steckel's a game time decision and B) the Bruins have been known to throw down, so, the Leafs could use a guy in their line up who can do the same. I'm not the biggest Rosehill fan either, but, he's been better this season and I understand why he may dress tonight.

It could just be a case of Steckel not being 100% yet. I can't see Wilson keeping the teams/leagues best face-off man out of the line-up if he's healthy. Even if Wilson wanted a bit of a tougher line-up he could have sat Dupuis for Steckel.
