That's a perfect description.  Much better than the joke I was contemplating.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that our MVP so far this year has been none other than Jay McClement.  Bowen and Ralph were just reciting the stats: McClement is #1 in the NHL in PK icetime, and the Leafs are 16th in the league in PK percentage, instead of 27/28/29/30 or whatever it was the last few seasons.  That is absolutely huge.

Of course others deserve credit for the better PK too.  But McClement is the glue.

I think he's been wildly underrated at ES as well. To me he's the perfect example of a guy who, if the league were just, would be considered for the Selke.
