Vegas odds to win the Stanley Cup, as of right now,

The best odds are the Canucks at 6/1, then the Penguins at 7/1, then Philly at 9/1 and then Washington and Boston at 10/1

Our very own Toronto Maple Leafs are at 50/1, tying them for 22nd with the Winnipeg Jets but ahead of the Sens, Blue Jackets, Panthers, Islanders, Senators, Oilers, Wild and Avalanche.

50/1 yet the Flames are 35/1. Um, yeah. Okay.

I'm surprised.  Actually, I would have expected the Leafs to be placed at 80/1 odds.  50/1 isn't so bad, for a team that's still struggling to 'rebuild' itself.

Projecting the Flames at 35/1?  That, does seem strange, indeed.    ::)
Also, Carolina at same.  With all those ex-Leafs....

I like BetBrain better
http://www.betbrain.com/ice-hockey/#/ice-hockey/united-states/nhl/winner/
because they look at a number of sets of odds.

But right now, the Leafs wind up in roughly the same place on BetBrain as Nik posted. I still think it's a little early to put too much stock in those numbers. I could bicker with the placing of some of the teams but it's close enough and good enough for now.

I don't have a problem with the 50/1 Leaf odds. I'm just wondering how Calgary's odds are significantly better when in my eyes, the Leafs are a better team then the odds. FWIW, Bodog had the Leafs 60-1 prior to July 1 and I should have jumped on that action.

Ahead of the Sens and the Senators. Quite the accomplishment. :P

I'm surprised the oil are still so low.  Looking at their squad it's only a matter of time before they start to perform.  A few nice additions this off season too.
