Brandon Kozun signs in KHL

Wow, I'm a little surprised as he was just starting to get an opportunity to play last year. Perhaps he thought he may not have an opportunity to play under Babcock?

I couldn't find any numbers, but I'm curious about his contract $$/term. Also surprised to see that Jari Kurri is the GM.

The whole trend in hockey since the obstruction laws where laid down has been a move to speed, to make the game as fast as possible. Just seems smaller guys seem to be faster in most cases. What we need is talent and lots of it no matter if it 5 feet tall or 6'5 tall.

Highlander, that is a very gracious response.

It's too bad about Kozun. He was just missing the next-level hockey sense to fully utilize his speed.

Ya Herman.  Kozun as fast as he was, was missing that extra 5-8% of talent that makes the difference between the KHL and Kessel.
With guys like Brown, Marner, Nylander etc we are assembling smaller guys whom have that extra talent.

Could be wrong if Babcock wants a D Man then the big B will have a D man. If Marner is available I would be shocked if Hunter didnt sign him. Its all a crapshoot in any case.
