Lots of parts moved out from last year's team; Mark from MLHS has the rundown.

The most interesting threads of the season will be:
Does Greg Moore last in this make or break season, even with good buddy Ryan Hardy in the GM seat?
Lots of goalies: who will step up to be the next Kallgren?
Stretch drive reinforcements: quite a ways away, but Hirvonen, Niemela, Ovchinnikov, Voit could all get significant AHL looks in the spring

Moore is a big question mark, of course we want to establish winning but even as important is the development and training of our prospects to become they best they can be. Perhaps the past few years with the pandemic and state of flux has contributed to not much in the winning column.  Perhaps now we can gel good Marlies/Growlers teams.

From PeterBros to Marlbobros

Veteran depth depleted on the Marlies' blueline (Benn, Dahlstrom on LTIR; Mete called up)

DeKeyser was most recently on a PTO with the Canucks, which obviously did not convert into an SPC.

Makes sense. Marlies already lost a pretty big chunk of their defence from last season with Duszak, Krys, Kivihalme, and Rubins all departing the organization. The two guys they brought in to replace them, Benn and Mete, aren't options at the moment. Dahlstrom's out for the season. So that's a very young and inexperienced group there right now.

DeKeyser has been released from his PTO (Liljegren back in action, Benn completed his conditioning loan, Mete loaned to Marlies).

It?d be pretty nuts if/when Semyon Der Arguchintsev carves out a niche in the NHL.

I hope he can make it one day. Kid has some great hands...

Not a good scene at the Marlies game tonight. Last we heard, the outcome wasn't positive. Hope it isn't accurate.

Well they finished the postponed game tonight. Woll was really really good. The line of Holmberg, Steeves, Gaudette looked really good. I think it would be interesting to have them as our 4th line.

Bobby Mac at it again...this guy is getting called up for the playoffs. He and Holmberg really stand out on the Marlies.

Marlies lost Mikhail Abramov, Adam Gaudette, Joey Anderson, Dryden Hunt and Pavel Gogolev (ECHL) at the deadline. McMann and Robertson are hurt. Holmberg & Steeves called up.

They picked up Zohorna at the deadline.

8 AHL forwards and one ECHL forward out/off Marlies roster with one AHL forward added.

They might have a tough time for a bit.

At least they can add Mete & Dahlstrom when they come off LTIR/SOIR

Any word on whats wrong with McMann?

I haven't been able to find much.
I don't even know what he injured - just "Lower body"
All I know is it occurred when Syracuse visited Toronto a week ago Sunday.
He hasn't played since.
March 1st, Marlies coach Moore said he had no timeline for his return

That is a loss because of the others who got moved at the deadline and due to his size and style and what he brings.
He could help on the Leafs 2nd PP unit. He's good at tips, loose pucks around the goal and shots below the dots. He's physical 6'2" 208lbs and skates well - has some speed. To me, he was interesting as a tweener rather than a 4th liner but he needed to play with players who can play offense when he was up.

*Note: F Bobby McMann (lower body, day-to-day) and F Logan Shaw (illness, day-to-day) will not dress for today?s game.

McMann listed by the Marlies as "day-to-day" on the 3rd day after his injury provides some hope for his "no timeline" status
