They have like 9 D men so it kind of makes sense to get him playing. You never know. Wendel was a D man, maybe Duszak can become a winger.

I originally figured they just wrote him there to keep the format clean and he was actually 7D, but reports are that he's legit playing wing tonight. Interesting. Assuming that's just temporary but we'll see I guess.

Liljegren looks quite good so far. Nicky Bobby doing his usual thing.
 
Big props to Andrew D'Agostini here. I was pretty worried goaltending was going to be a massive issue for the Marlies to start the season with Woll on the TS and Scott on the IR. D'Agostini's resume made it seem like he was going to struggle big time in the AHL but so far 2-0 with a .927 Sv% is about as good as you can ask for.

So this is what happens when your GM and coach are getting players and developing them to play the same way...

I think it would be swell if Rourke Chartier got back up to NHL speed; he could be a fine depth addition (he'd need an NHL SPC a la Sabourin).
