2020 World Junior Hockey Championships

The 2020 WJHCs will be held in the Czech Republic, shared between two cities ? Ostrava & Trinec.

Ten countries being represented ? Canada, USA, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Czech Republic (host), Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Kazakhstan.

The Championships will commence on Boxing Day (December 26th) and end on January 6th, 2020.

First game up for Team Canada is against Maple Leaf prospect Nick Robertson & Team USA.

Results for Thursday Dec. 26:

Team Canada, or rather, it?s #1 draft prospect Alexis Lafreniere, defeated Team USA 6-4 in a thrilling offensive matchup.  Lafreniere has three assists including the game-winner in helping Team Canada break out of a 4-4 tie game in the third period from which they never looked back. 

Way to go, Canada!

Team Switzerland beat a Team Kazakhstan 5-3; and Team Sweden 4-3 over Team Finland in which the Swedes 49 consecutive win in Preliminary Round games continues.
