The 105th Grey Cup game is the CFL's championship showcase, which will be between...

po1VhZWop
        vs
pmVKSinpp

Calgary Stampeders        Toronto Argonauts

The last time these two teams met was in 2012, in Toronto at the Rogers Centre (formerly Skydome), in that year's 100th Anniversary of the Grey Cup championship, with the Argos firmly winning that one.

Quarterbacks Ricky Ray of the Argonauts, and Kevin Glenn of the then Calgary Stampeders, (now a Saskatchewan Roughrider), were part of the matchup from that time.

The Argos fended off the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Toronto at BMO Field, Sunday Nov. 19th in the Eastern Final, in a last-minute victory appropriately led by Ray.  Final score was 25-21 in favour of Toronto.

Meantime, the Calgary Stampeders outsmarted the Edmonton Eskimos at Calgary's McMahon Stadium, Sunday Nov. 19th in the Western Final, in a 35-28 win.

?It?s an absolute honour to return to the Grey Cup stage in the nation?s capital during Canada?s 150th birthday,? said Twain. ?I?m thrilled to be coming home and being a part of the country?s biggest annual party.?

?Shania is a massive Canadian icon and a global superstar, so we are so excited that she will help us cap off such a significant year for our country at the 105thGrey Cup in Ottawa,? added Randy Ambrosie, CFL Commissioner. ?This promises to be a fantastic event and a special performance for our fans and viewers across Canada and all around the world. GO ARGOS!

Kevin Glenn doesn?t play for Calgary.
Calgary beat Edmonton 35-28.
The east and west finals were played on the 19th.

That?s all I have for now.

Arrggooss!

Just when the favoured Calgary Stampeders were on their way to winning this 105th edition of the CFL's Grey Cup championship, along awoke the Toronto Argonauts and in typical Argos fashion, came back to win it all.

The Canadian classic was complete with blizzard-like conditions -- plenty of snow, wind, and wintry temperatures that made for an interesting football game and a smorgasbord of things happening on the snow-covered field, here at TD Place Stadium in Ottawa Sunday evening.

With the Stampeders ahead 24-16, and with less than two minutes of play,  the Argos tied it all up on a 109 yard return by Cassius Vaughn courtesy of a Calgary fumble (make that slippery-ball-difficult-to-hang-on-to-while-falling play). Then, with a little over 50 seconds remaining, Argos' kicker Linm Hajrullahu's 32 yard three-point conversion vaunted Toronto ahead 27-24.  But...

...the Stampeders weren't done. Yet.  As Calgary attempted to desperately gain downs & yards, and with the clock winding down the seconds, Calgary quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell's long pass in the end zone looked like a sure-fire game-ending touchdown...until the Argos Matt Black intercepted the ball.  Game over.  Argos win.

Toronto quarterback Ricky Ray wins his fourth Grey Cup and sets a CFL record in that department.  MVP of the Game Toronto's Devier Posey with his 7 receptions, 175 total yards, and a Grey Cup-setting record with his 100 yard touchdown run in the first half.

Last but not least, Shania Twain rocked at her halftime show.  The Canadian superstar entertained the crowd and looked resplendent.  She sure looks ageless.  Way to go, Shania!

Great Game, great win, I was a huge Argo's fan back in the late 60's to the early 70's and then tuned out. Was fun yesterday and surprisingly emotional to my amazement.

Good sales job... lol... I guess if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. Can someone explain why they seem so hesitant to kick the extra point? The teams kept going for 2?
